The shampoo is used to destroy lice and nits in adults and children over 1 year old.
Composition
Isononyl isononanoate, MIPA-laureth sulfate, laureth-4, tea tree essential oil, thyme essential oil, geranium essential oil, cinnamon essential oil, cocamide DEA.
Does not contain pesticides, artificial colors or flavors.
Recommendations for use
Characteristic signs of the presence of lice are itching of the scalp and the detection of black lice excrement on clothing collars or pillows.
If a family member is infected, all family members should be examined. For the examination, you need to have a lice comb and a magnifying glass. Hygia should only be used by those who have been found to have live lice or nits. Family members who have not been found to have lice and/or nits are recommended to have periodic scalp examinations in order to detect lice and/or nits in a timely manner in the event of infection.
Head lice are mainly spread through direct contact. To avoid reinfection, it is important to identify the source of the infection.
If lice were found in all family members, then treatment must be carried out on everyone at the same time.
Application:
- Apply Hygia to dry hair – from roots to ends.
- Leave for 15 minutes.
- Wet your hair with water to create a lather.
- Rinse the shampoo with water, rinsing your hair well.
- After shampooing, use the thick comb included in the package to mechanically remove parasites: to do this, divide the hair into four sections and comb each section separately with even movements from the roots to the very ends. Before combing each subsequent section, we recommend cleaning the comb of lice and nits with a paper towel.
It is advisable to place all the hair strands that have been cleaned of nits and lice on one side. If the hair is dry, it needs to be moisturized. After the procedure, you can dry your hair in the usual way.
It is recommended to re-check for lice and nits a week after use. If live lice or nits are found, the shampoo can be used again.
Additional tips
After using Hygia shampoo, it is important to treat personal belongings and your home to prevent the spread of lice. Lice can live outside the human body for no more than 1 day, and nits - 7-12 days.
- All personal items and headwear (hats, headbands, etc.), scarves, headscarves, and sleepwear should be washed in hot water (over 55°C) and then, if possible, dried in a dryer using the hottest setting for at least 20 minutes;
- personal combs, including nit combs, and brushes should be soaked in hot water (over 55°C) and kept for at least 15 minutes;
- personal items such as clothes, bedding, blankets, pillows and stuffed animals that cannot be washed should be dry-cleaned or placed in a plastic bag, sealed tightly and left there for at least 4 weeks. Then, before using them again, take them out of the bag in the yard or other open area and shake them well;
- Vacuum everywhere – carpets, mattresses, upholstered furniture, car seats used by infected family members.
Contraindication
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to the shampoo components.
Do not use in children under 1 year of age.
Do not use if there are open wounds, injuries or infectious diseases of the scalp.
Reservation
Do not leave the shampoo on dry hair for more than 15 minutes and do not use it earlier than after 7 days.
We recommend using rubber gloves for those who perform the treatment procedure several times in a row.
Avoid getting shampoo in your eyes, mouth or nose. If this happens, rinse the area immediately with water.
If shampoo is swallowed, the stomach should be rinsed, vomiting should be induced, and symptomatic measures should be taken.
In rare cases, itching or a skin rash may occur, in which case the use of the shampoo should be discontinued.
