Simethicone tablets are used for the following indications:

Composition

The active ingredient is simeticone (one tablet contains 125 mg of simeticone).

Excipients: aluminum hydroxide; lactose monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; calcium hydrogen phosphate; stearic acid; colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide; crospovidone; povidone; dry mixture "Opadry II white", which contains titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, polyethylene glycol (macrogol), polyvinyl alcohol; tartrazine (E 102).

Contraindication

Method of application

For flatulence, children over 12 years of age and adults are prescribed one tablet 3 times a day.

In order to prepare for diagnostic tests, one tablet is prescribed 3 times a day the day before the test and another tablet in the morning on the day of the test. Simethicone tablets are taken during or after meals. The duration of the treatment course is set individually. If necessary, the drug can be taken for a long time.

Poisoning by detergents: dosage depends on the severity of intoxication. The minimum recommended dose is 3 tablets.

Application features

Pregnant women

There are no clinical data on the use of the drug "Simethicone" by pregnant women. Since the active ingredient is not absorbed by the mucous membrane of the digestive tract, no effect of the drug on the fetus or accumulation of the drug in breast milk should be expected. The use of the drug "Simethicone" during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Children

This drug is used in children over the age of 12. Children under 12 years of age are prescribed the drug in the form of liquid dosage forms.

Drivers

Since simethicone is an inert substance and is not absorbed, its effect on driving or operating other mechanisms is practically excluded.

Overdose

To date, there are no known cases of overdose. Since simethicone is chemically and physiologically inert, intoxication is practically excluded. In case of use of doses higher than recommended, you should consult a doctor.

Side effects

On the part of the immune system: allergic manifestations, hypersensitivity reactions, including itching, rash, urticaria.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children.

The shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture of the drug in bulk packaging.
