Composition
active ingredients: 1 tablet contains dried medicinal plants in powder form:
Sorrel herb (Herba Rumіs) | 36 mg; |
verbena grass (Nerba Verbenae) | 36 mg; |
Gentian root (Radix Gentianae) | 12 mg; |
elderflowers (Flores Sambuci) | 36 mg; |
primrose flowers with a calyx (Flores Primulae cum Calysibus) | 36 mg; |
excipients: acrylate copolymer, aluminum hydroxide, glycolic montan wax, purified water, glucose solution, dextrin, gelatin, indigo carmine (E 132), stearic acid, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, calcium carbonate (E 170), potato starch, corn starch, lactose monohydrate, light magnesium oxide, copper chlorophyllin (E 141), refined castor oil, riboflavin (E 101), sucrose, sorbitol (E 420), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), shellac.

Film-coated tablets.
Main physicochemical properties: round, biconvex, green tablets, coated with a film, with a smooth surface.

Pharmacological properties
The herbal components that make up the medicinal product have complex activity, which is manifested in secretolytic action, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effects.
Under the influence of the drug, secretion is regulated and tissue edema is reduced. Drainage and ventilation of the paranasal sinuses are restored, nasal congestion is eliminated, and the protective function of the respiratory tract epithelium is normalized.
Indication
Acute and chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any of the active or other components of the drug, to other types of primrose, as well as peptic ulcer.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
In case of simultaneous use of other medicines, you should consult a doctor.
Application features
If the patient develops nosebleeds, persistent fever, severe pain, purulent nasal discharge, or symptoms last longer than 7-14 days, or worsen or recur, a doctor should be consulted.
If you know you have gastritis or functional stomach disorders (so-called "sensitive stomach"), special care is required when taking this medicine. Sinupret forte should be taken preferably after a meal with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water).
Due to the content of glucose, lactose, sucrose and sorbitol, the medicinal product should not be taken by patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Note for diabetics: 1 film-coated tablet contains an average of 0.03 bread units (BTU).
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the drug Sinupret forte can be used only after a doctor has clearly established the diagnosis and assessed the benefit-risk ratio for the mother/fetus (child).
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Does not affect.
Method of administration and doses
Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 1 tablet 3 times a day. The tablets should be taken without chewing, with sufficient liquid. Patients with gastritis or functional stomach disorders (the so-called "sensitive stomach") should take the drug after meals.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended course of treatment is 7-14 days. Follow the instructions for use section.
Children: Do not use in children under 12 years of age due to insufficient research.
Overdose
Cases of overdose are currently unknown. The occurrence of the listed side effects may be increased - in this case, you should consult a doctor.
Treatment: symptomatic therapy.
Adverse reactions
Gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort) have been reported rarely. In isolated cases, hypersensitivity reactions have occurred, including rash, redness of the skin, itching, urticaria, angioedema, shortness of breath, facial swelling.
If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the drug and be sure to consult a doctor.
In case of hypersensitivity/allergic reaction, Sinupret forte film-coated tablets should not be taken again.
Expiration date
4 years. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, out of the reach of children.
Packaging
20 or 25 tablets in a blister;
1 blister No. 20 (20×1) or 2 blisters No. 50 (25×2), or 4 blisters No. 100 (25×4) in a cardboard box.
