Composition

active ingredient: pyrithione zinc;

1 ml of shampoo contains 10 mg of zinc pyrithione;

excipients: sodium lauryl sulfate copolymer, amide-coco-N and glycol stearate, fatty acid alkylamidobetaine, sodium lauryl sulfate, dimethicone, copolymer of polypropylene glycol and polyethylene glycol 55-propylene glycol oleate, menthol, sodium chloride, disodium edetate (trilon B), purified water.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has high antibacterial activity against a number of pathogenic microorganisms, such as streptococci, staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, Proteus. The antifungal activity of the drug is especially pronounced against Pytyrosporum ovale and Pytyrosporum orbiculare, which cause inflammation and excessive peeling in dandruff, seborrhea, psoriasis and other skin diseases. The drug acts against microorganisms located both on the surface and in the deep layers of the epidermis.

The special composition of the shampoo, which has surfactants, increases the antibacterial and antifungal effects of zinc pyrithione, counteracts the usual saprophytic flora in the stratum corneum of the scalp, helps eliminate burning and itching. Activated zinc pyrithione, contained in the shampoo, inhibits the pathological growth of cells in the surface layers of the skin and eliminates excessive peeling in psoriasis, seborrhea, dandruff.

At therapeutic concentrations, the drug does not inhibit normally functioning cells.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, zinc pyrithione is deposited in the superficial (epidermal) layers of the skin. Systemic absorption is slow. It is found in the blood in trace amounts.

Indication

Treatment of psoriasis, scalp dermatitis, itching, dandruff, oily and dry seborrhea.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Skin-Cap is not used simultaneously with drugs containing glucocorticosteroids.

Application features

Avoid getting shampoo in your eyes. During remission, shampoo can be used to wash your hair 1-2 times a week to prevent relapses. If you use shampoo more frequently, dry skin may occur.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the drug is used only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Does not affect.

Method of administration and doses

Shake the bottle several times before use. Wet the hair. Apply a small amount of Skin-Cap shampoo to the hair. Rinse the shampoo and apply again, then leave it on the skin for 5 minutes. Then rinse the hair with plenty of water. Apply at least 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks. If necessary, repeat the treatment course.

Children

Used to treat children aged 1 year and over.

Overdose

If the frequency of shampoo use increases, dry skin may occur. During this period, it is recommended to reduce or stop using Skin-Cap. Side effects may increase.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions are possible, including redness, itching, skin rashes; dry skin is possible (see section "Special instructions").

Store at a temperature of 4 to 20 °C in a dark place.
