Composition
1 ml of spray contains: xylitol – 120 mg, sodium chloride – 9 mg, benzalkonium chloride – 0.2 mg, purified water – up to 1 ml.
Description
SNOTTY is a nasal spray that cleanses the nasal passages and sinuses, removing pollutants and irritants.
SNOTTY quickly relieves nasal congestion from upper respiratory tract infections and allergies.
Xylitol is the main component of the medical product. In conditions of reduced pH, it stabilizes the protein structures of cells. Due to its osmolytic properties, it regulates salt metabolism on the surface of the nasal mucosa and nasopharynx. A high concentration of xylitol (12%) makes it difficult for microorganisms to adhere to the cells of the mucous membrane, prevents the formation of biofilms, and has an antimicrobial effect on some types of pathogens.
Xylitol thins and facilitates mucus discharge, retains moisture, thereby moisturizing and soothing irritated nasal mucosa, facilitating breathing and improving sleep quality in patients with acute and chronic infectious and allergic diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx. The presence of xylitol determines the sweet taste.
The concentration of the components of the medical product determines the hyperosmolarity of the solution, due to which it helps to remove excess moisture and eliminate swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal passages and sinuses.
The components of the medical device do not react with the human body and are inert to it, and do not have any pharmacological, immunobiological or metabolic effects.

Properties
SNOTTY is an intranasal spray that makes breathing easier by cleansing, thinning, and improving secretion removal.
Indications for use
As an additional remedy for infectious and allergic diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx.
As a means of helping to remove nasal secretions and relieve nasal congestion in cases of difficulty breathing through the nose.
For daily nasal cavity hygiene.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any component of the medical device.
Recommendations for use
Children from 6 months and adults.
Method of application
Before first use, remove the stopper from the bottle.
Use 2 times a day – morning and evening. If necessary, the frequency of administration can be increased. The duration of use is determined individually.
Use by children must be supervised or assisted by adults.
Method of administration for adults:
before starting the procedure, wash your hands with soap and carefully clear the nasal passages of secretions by quickly exhaling through the nose, while blocking one nasal passage with a finger;
remove the protective cap from the bottle, insert the tip into the nasal passage and perform
2–4 injections (breathe through your mouth or hold your breath while inhaling), when injecting into the right nasal passage, the head should be slightly tilted back and tilted to the left, and, conversely, the head should be tilted to the right when injecting the spray into the left nasal passage;
repeat for the other nasal passage;
Clean the tip of the bottle with a clean cloth and install the protective cap;
After injecting the spray, it is advisable to lie down with your head tilted back for 2 minutes, then clear the nasal passages of liquefied secretions.
Method of application for children:
before starting the procedure, wash your hands with soap and carefully clear the child's nasal passages of secretions;
remove the protective cap from the bottle, insert the tip into the nasal passage (be careful to avoid injury) and perform 2–4 injections (instruct the child to breathe through the mouth or hold their breath while inhaling); when injecting into the right nasal passage, the child's head should be slightly tilted back and tilted to the left, and, conversely, the child's head should be tilted to the right when injecting the spray into the left nasal passage;
repeat for the other nasal passage;
Clean the tip of the bottle with a clean cloth and install the protective cap;
After injecting the spray, it is advisable for the child to lie down with their head tilted back for 2 minutes, after which the child should be seated so that they hold their head straight and help them clear their nasal passages of liquefied secretions.
Side effect
Hypersensitivity reactions, irritation or swelling of the nasal mucosa.
If any adverse reactions occur, you should immediately stop using the medical device and notify your doctor and the manufacturer.
Reservation
Use SNOTTY according to the instructions for use. Do not use in any way other than as described in this medical device instruction manual. Consult your doctor before use if you have any questions.
Do not use simultaneously with other intranasal products. If it is necessary to use another medical device or drug intranasally, an interval of at least 15 minutes should be allowed between their use.
Do not heat the bottle. If stored in the refrigerator, allow the product to stand at room temperature for 15–30 minutes before use, if necessary.
Do not mix with any solutions, medications, etc.
There are no available clinical data on the efficacy and tolerability of the medical device during pregnancy and breastfeeding. These categories of patients should consult a doctor before using the medical device.
The packaging of the medical device contains small plastic parts that can be swallowed by small children. To avoid the risk of aspiration, the medical device should be kept out of the reach of children.
Before using the medical device, check the integrity of the packaging and the expiration date. Do not use the product if the original packaging is damaged or if the expiration date has expired.
Dispose of in accordance with local waste disposal requirements.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging in a place protected from sunlight at a temperature up to +25 °C. Do not freeze.
