Instructions for use of the medical product.
Description
SNOTTY® is a solution that cleanses the nasal passages and sinuses, removing pollutants and irritants. SNOTTY® quickly relieves nasal congestion caused by upper respiratory tract infections and allergies.
Xylitol is the main component of the medical product. In conditions of reduced pH, it stabilizes the protein structures of cells. Due to its osmolytic properties, it regulates salt metabolism on the surface of the nasal mucosa and nasopharynx. A high concentration of xylitol (12%) makes it difficult for microorganisms to adhere to the cells of the mucous membrane, prevents the formation of biofilms, and has an antimicrobial effect on some types of pathogens.
Xylitol thins and facilitates mucus discharge, retains moisture, thereby moisturizing and soothing irritated nasal mucosa, facilitating breathing and improving sleep quality in patients with acute and chronic infectious and allergic diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx. The presence of xylitol determines the sweet taste.
The concentration of the components of the medical product determines the hyperosmolarity of the solution, due to which it helps to remove excess moisture and eliminate swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal passages and sinuses.
The components of the medical product do not react with the human body and are inert to it, do not have a pharmacological, immunobiological and metabolic effect and are not addictive.
Contains no preservatives.
Sterile.
Intended purpose
SNOTTY® is a solution for intranasal administration that eliminates swelling of the mucous membrane of the nasal passages and sinuses, facilitates breathing by cleansing, thinning and improving secretion removal.
Target group
Children, including infants, and adults.
Indication
- As an additional remedy for infectious and allergic diseases of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx.
- As a means of helping to remove nasal secretions and relieve nasal congestion in cases of difficulty breathing through the nose.
- For daily nasal cavity hygiene.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any component of the medical device.
Side effects
Hypersensitivity reactions, burning of the nasal mucosa.
If any adverse reactions occur, you should immediately stop using the medical device and notify your doctor and the manufacturer.
Warnings and precautions
- Use SNOTTY® according to the instructions for use. Do not use in any way other than as directed in this medical device instruction manual. Consult your doctor before use if you have any questions.
- Do not use the same plastic container for multiple patients. Using the same plastic container for more than one person can cause the spread of infection.
- The product is for single use only. Reuse may cause infection. Do not reuse.
- Re-sterilization is prohibited.
- Do not use simultaneously with other intranasal products. If it is necessary to use another medical device or drug intranasally, an interval of at least 15 minutes should be allowed between their use.
- Do not heat the solution container. If stored in the refrigerator, allow the product to stand at room temperature for 15–30 minutes before use, if necessary.
- Do not mix with any solutions, medications, etc.
- There are no available clinical data on the efficacy and tolerability of the medical device during pregnancy and breastfeeding. These categories of patients should consult a doctor before using the medical device.
- Before using the medical device, check the integrity of the packaging and the expiration date. Do not use the product if the original packaging is damaged or if the expiration date has expired.
- Dispose of in accordance with local waste disposal requirements.

Not detected.
Overdose
No cases of overdose have been reported.
Method of use
Use 2–4 times a day. If necessary, the frequency of administration can be increased.
The duration of use is determined individually.
Use by children must be supervised or assisted by adults.
- Method of administration for adults:
2) open the polymer container and drip 2-4 drops of the solution into each nasal passage (breathe through your mouth or hold your breath while inhaling), when instilling into the right nasal passage, the head should be slightly tilted back and tilted to the left, and, conversely, the head should be tilted to the right when instilling the solution into the left nasal passage;
3) after instilling the solution, it is advisable to lie down with your head tilted back for 2 minutes, then clear the nasal passages of liquefied secretions.
- Method of application for children:
1) before starting the procedure, wash your hands with soap, carefully clear the child's nasal passages of secretions, and lay them on their back;
2) open the polymer container and drip 2-4 drops of the solution into each nasal passage (instruct the child to breathe through the mouth or hold their breath while inhaling); when instilling into the right nasal passage, the child's head should be slightly tilted back and tilted to the left, and, conversely, the child's head should be tilted to the right when instilling the solution into the left nasal passage;
3) after instilling the solution, it is advisable for the child to lie down with their head tilted back for 2 minutes, after which the child should be seated so that they hold their head straight and help them clear the nasal passages of liquefied secretions.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging, protected from sunlight, at temperatures up to +25 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
Expiration date
3 years. The shelf life is valid if stored in the original packaging.
