Pharmacodynamics

The pharmacological properties of the drug are due to the complex action of active components, which exhibit broncholytic, expectorant, mucolytic effects. Stodal® reduces the viscosity of sputum, facilitates expectoration. It also exhibits a moisturizing effect in dry cough and reduces the urge to cough in spastic and wet cough.

Indication

Comprehensive symptomatic treatment of productive and unproductive cough in adults and children.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active or auxiliary substances of the drug.

Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

Special safety measures.

This dosage form contains 1.74% v/v ethyl alcohol.

5 ml of syrup contains 0.069 g of ethyl alcohol and 3.75 g of sucrose.

15 ml of syrup contains 0.206 g of ethyl alcohol and 11.25 g of sucrose.

Use with caution in patients with diabetes.

High-risk groups suffering from liver disease or epilepsy should take into account the presence of alcohol in the medicinal form. Not recommended for people suffering from alcoholism.

Method of administration and doses

For oral use.

Adults: Single dose of 15 ml (using a measuring cup) 3-5 times a day.

Children over 2 years of age: a single dose of 5 ml (using a measuring cup) 3-5 times a day. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

No cases of overdose have been reported.

In individuals with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions, including skin rashes, are possible.

5 years.
