Composition

active ingredients: 100 g of solution contain 50 g of liquid extract (0.65:1) from a mixture of raw materials: chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.) - 6.5 g, oak bark (Quercus robur L.) - 6.5 g, sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L.) - 6.5 g, arnica herb (Arnica montana L.) - 3.25 g, calamus rhizome (Acorus calamus L.) - 3.25 g, peppermint herb (Mentha piperita L.) - 3.25 g, thyme herb (Thymus vulgaris L.) - 3.25 g, anestezin 2 g; extractant: ethanol 70% (m/m);
excipients: sodium tetraborate, glycerin, methylcellulose, ethanol 96%, purified water.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has a bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and astringent effect due to the substances from plant raw materials that are part of the drug (oak bark, chamomile flowers, sage leaves, thyme herb, arnica herb, peppermint herb, calamus rhizome). Thanks to anesthesin contained in Stomatophyte A, the drug also has an anesthetic effect. Thickeners (methylcellulose, glycerin) provide a longer effect of the drug and its retention on the affected area. Active against Candida albicans.

Indication

Comprehensive local treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa: gingivitis, periodontitis, stomatitis, glossitis.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Lamiaceae family, as well as to celery and birch pollen (cross-reaction is possible), hypersensitivity to arnica, chamomile or other plants of the Asteraceae family, bronchial asthma. Hypersensitivity to other amide anesthetics.
Do not use on open wounds.

If symptoms persist for one week or worsen during treatment with the drug, you should consult a doctor.
The medicine contains 35–45% (v/v) ethanol, which should be taken into account when using the medicine in pregnant women, lactating women, and children under 12 years of age.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Immediately after using the drug, alcohol can be detected by breathalyzers. For this reason, you should not drive or operate machinery for at least 30 minutes after using the drug.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Due to the lack of sufficient data, it is not recommended to use the drug during these periods.

Method of administration and doses

Adults and children over 12 years of age: treat the affected areas with a cotton swab moistened with the preparation at least 3 times a day. Do not rinse the mouth immediately after applying the preparation. Duration of treatment is 7 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, consult a doctor.

Children

The drug contains ethyl alcohol, so it should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported. In case of overdose, side effects may be increased.

Adverse reactions

Hypersensitivity, burning sensation, fever. Methemoglobinemia. Oak bark can stain teeth and oral mucosa in a dark color. The color of teeth and oral mucosa is restored by daily brushing. A short-term burning sensation on the mucosa immediately after application of the drug is also transient. Glycerin, which is part of the drug, can cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
