Composition

active ingredients: 100 g of solution contain a liquid extract (0.65:1) from a mixture of raw materials: chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.) - 13 g, oak bark (Quercus robur L.) - 13 g, sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L.) - 13 g, arnica herb (Arnica montana L.) - 6.5 g, calamus rhizome (Acorus calamus L.) - 6.5 g, peppermint herb (Mentha piperita L.) - 6.5 g, thyme herb (Thymus vulgaris L.) - 6.5 g; extractant: ethanol 70% (m/m);

excipients: ethanol 96%, purified water.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

The drug has an astringent, softening, anti-inflammatory effect on the oral mucosa due to extracts of oak bark, chamomile flowers and sage leaves. In addition, tannins and essential oils contained in the drug have antiseptic, antibacterial and antifungal effects on the oral mucosa and gums. In vitro tests have shown that essential oils of sage and chamomile have a bactericidal effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as a fungicidal effect on Candida albicans.

Indication

The medicine is intended for use in persons aged 6 years and over as an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, disinfectant and astringent for:

inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat;

gingivitis and stomatitis (including glossitis);

superficial periodontitis;

tendency to bleeding gums;

as part of complex therapy for periodontal disease.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Lamiaceae family, as well as to celery and birch pollen (cross-reaction is possible), hypersensitivity to arnica, chamomile or other plants of the Asteraceae family; bronchial asthma.

If symptoms persist for one week or worsen during treatment with the drug, you should consult a doctor.

10 ml of the drug contain up to 5.67 g of ethanol, which should be taken into account when using the drug in pregnant women, lactating women, and children.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Immediately after use of the medicinal product, alcohol can be detected using measuring devices in exhaled air. When used according to the instructions, the medicinal product should not affect the ability to drive or operate other mechanisms.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Due to the lack of sufficient data, it is not recommended to use the drug during these periods.

Method of administration and doses

It is used as a rinse 3–4 times a day: adults – rinse the mouth with a 15% aqueous-alcoholic solution of the drug (dissolve 7.5 ml of the drug in ¼ cup of water); children from 6 years of age should use it after consulting a doctor – dissolve 10 ml of the drug in 1 cup of water. Duration of treatment is 7 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, you should consult a doctor.

Children

The drug contains ethyl alcohol, so it should not be used in children under 6 years of age.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been reported.

Overdose may increase side effects.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions are possible, including flushing and itching.

Locally - a short-term burning sensation of the oral mucosa immediately after rinsing, as well as a reversible change in tooth color, which disappears with regular brushing.

3 years.
