Instruction
For medical use of the drug
Composition:
Active ingredient: 1 g of ointment contains sulfonamide 0.05 g or 0.1 g;
excipients: white soft paraffin (vaseline).

Pharmacological properties.
The drug has an antimicrobial effect on streptococci and other microorganisms. Streptocide disrupts the process of assimilation by the microbial cell of its growth factors - folic, dihydrofolic acids and other compounds containing para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). Due to the chemical structure of PABA and sulfonamide, the latter, as a competitive antagonist of the acid, is included in the metabolism of microorganisms and disrupts it.
Indications for use.
Ulcers, burns, cracks, wounds, pyoderma, erysipelas and other pathological purulent-inflammatory processes of the skin, accompanied by the presence of microorganisms or caused by the latter.
Contraindication.
The drug is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, renal failure, acute porphyria, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Proper safety precautions during use.
If an allergic reaction occurs at the site of application of the ointment, the use of the drug should be discontinued.
Premature discontinuation of treatment with the drug may cause the development of microorganisms resistant to sulfonamides.
