Composition
1 capsule contains: active ingredients: magnesium bisglycinate – 300 mg (mg) (calculated as elemental magnesium – 60 mg (mg)), vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate) – 25 mg (mg), 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) obtained from griffonia extract (Griffonia simplicifolia) – 50 mg (mg), dry valerian root extract (4:1) – 60 mg (mg), dry hop fruit extract (4:1) – 30 mg (mg); excipients: inulin, magnesium stearate (anti-caking agent), capsule shell: gelatin.

Functional properties
Magnesium is necessary for energy processes, participates in the metabolism of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and in the process of neuromuscular excitation. Magnesium activates glycolytic enzymes, cellular oxidation enzymes, plays an important role in the processes of myocardial contraction, is a stabilizer of fibrinogen and platelets. In stressful situations, an increased amount of free ionized magnesium is excreted, therefore an additional amount of magnesium helps to increase resistance to stress. Magnesium plays a leading role in the processes of neuromuscular excitation, acting as an antagonist of calcium ions. The chelated form of magnesium has better bioavailability, it is stable and does not collapse in the stomach. Magnesium ions are connected to amino acids and do not require additional transformation after entering the body.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate) is a coenzyme form of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), has a rapid effect and provides higher bioavailability, can be used in cases where the process of pyridoxine phosphorylation is impaired. Vitamin B6 participates in the metabolism of amino acids - tryptophan, cysteine, methionine, glutamine, etc., as well as the synthesis of nucleic acids. It is necessary for the formation of neurotransmitters in the synapses of the central and peripheral nervous system, serotonin, dopamine, catecholamines, GABA, which control the proper functioning of brain and nerve cells. Promotes the conversion of folic acid into its active form. Enhances the synthesis of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and leukocytes. Participates in the formation of the myelin sheath of neurons, promotes the regeneration of nervous tissue, supports the functioning of the brain and organs of vision. Improves the use of unsaturated fatty acids, reduces cholesterol and lipid levels in the blood, improves myocardial contractility. Promotes the bile secretion function of the liver and normalizes its metabolic and detoxification functions. Regulates water-salt balance, helps maintain the ratio of sodium and potassium in the body, has a mild diuretic effect, maintains the level of sugar in the body, helps normalize the level of female sex hormones. The combined use of vitamin B6 and magnesium compensates for the deficiency of these substances and increases their absorption in the intestines and passage into cells due to the formation of a vitamin B6–magnesium–amino acid chelate complex.
5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid that is an intermediate product in the metabolism of the essential amino acid tryptophan. In the body, tryptophan is converted into 5-hydroxytryptophan, from which the neurotransmitter serotonin is directly formed. Serotonin is a regulatory mediator of the central nervous system, has a positive effect on a person's emotional state, for which it was called the "happiness hormone". Serotonin deficiency or impaired conversion of 5-hydroxytryptophan into serotonin leads to a deterioration in mood, anxiety, and insomnia. Since the human body is unable to synthesize the amino acid tryptophan, it must be supplied with food in sufficient quantities. 5-hydroxytryptophan, by accelerating the formation of serotonin naturally, helps eliminate the manifestations of serotonin deficiency in the body (contributes to reducing the excitability of the nervous system, improving mood, and normalizing sleep). At night, serotonin is converted into melatonin, which is responsible for the implementation of the physiological processes of sleep and falling asleep. Under the influence of melatonin, a deep and full sleep occurs, during which restorative processes in the human body are carried out. In addition, 5-hydroxytryptophan enhances the calming effect of valerian root extract.
Valerian extract contains biologically active substances of various chemical groups: essential oils (bornyl isovalerianate), organic acids (valerianic and isovalerianic), etc. Valerian extract has moderate sedative, antispasmodic, choleretic and vasodilator properties, helps normalize sleep and wakefulness, improves night sleep. Biologically active components of valerian extract lead to a slight slowdown in heart rate and increase the secretory activity of the mucous membranes of the digestive tract.
Hop fruit extract has sedative, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. Contains a complex of vitamins and minerals that help reduce psycho-emotional stress and normalize the functioning of the cardiovascular and nervous systems.
Method of administration and recommended daily dose
Adults: 1 capsule 1-2 times a day, washed down with sufficient water; 1-2 capsules before bedtime (30-40 minutes), washed down with sufficient water - to normalize sleep. Contraindication
