Medical device description
Disposable syringes, sterile, pyrogen-free, non-toxic. Available in individual, group and transport packaging.
The syringe contains:
- transparent cylinder made of polypropylene, on which a clear and abrasion-resistant volume scale is applied. On one side, the cylinder ends with a locking ring, on the other - with a cone for connection;
- piston and elastic cuff (if the syringe is 3-component);
- one or two atraumatic metal needles with a triangular sharpening, located in individual caps; The perfusion syringe has the following features:
- There is a special plastic cuff on the cylinder cone, and a groove on the piston at the distal end for fixing the syringe in the infusion pump;
- an additional volume scale with a graduation step of 1 ml is placed along the entire length of the piston;
- The piston is made of synthetic material (does not contain natural latex), has a greater thickness and two sealing rings, which ensures a smoother stroke during slow aspiration or administration of medication.
Syringes have the following types of connections:
- Luer Slip – a type of needle connection in which the needle is put on the cone of the cylinder;
- Luer Lock is a type of needle connection in which the needle is screwed into the cone of the cylinder.
Method of application
- Check the integrity of the individual packaging and the expiration date. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the expiration date has passed.
- Select the syringe of the required volume and type. Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Open the syringe package at the location marked “OPEN HERE.” Make sure the syringe is complete.
- Use immediately after opening the package.
- Use one needle to draw the infusion fluid into the syringe, and the other for injection (if the syringe is equipped with two needles).
- Treat the skin surface with an antiseptic before inserting a sterile needle.
- Perform the injection after checking the patency of the needle with the injected solution.
- After the injection, remove the needle from the skin, press the puncture site with a cotton swab moistened with antiseptic for 1-2 minutes. If necessary, apply a dry sterile bandage for 24 hours.
- After use, the syringe and needles should be disposed of in accordance with national requirements.
Application area
- Injection syringes with Luer Slip, Luer Lock connection types and with an integrated needle are used for intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal and intracavitary administration of drugs or for blood sampling.
- "ALEXPHARM" sterile disposable injection syringes can be used in veterinary medicine.
Medical device sterilization method
Sterilization is carried out with ethylene oxide.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature of +5 °C to +40 °C.
Expiration date
The expiry date is stated on the packaging (see Use by). Do not use after the expiry date.
