Taflotan Multi eye drops 15 mcg/ml 3 ml

Taflotan Multi is a drug used in ophthalmology. Antiglaucoma drug and miotic. It is used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in open-angle glaucoma and intraocular hypertension.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Method of application

The recommended dose is 1 drop of the drug into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) once a day, in the evening.

It is not recommended to administer the drug more often than once a day, as more frequent administration may reduce the effect of lowering intraocular pressure.

Application features

Before starting treatment, patients should be informed of the possibility of increased eyelash growth, darkening of the eyelid skin, and increased iris pigmentation. Some of these changes may be long-lasting and may result in differences in the appearance of the eyes if only one eye is treated.

Pregnant women

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.

Children

The safety and efficacy of tafluprost in children (under 18 years of age) have not yet been established.

Drivers

Tafluprost does not affect the ability to drive or use machines. If temporary blurred vision occurs after instillation of the drug, the patient should wait until the vision clears before driving or using other machines.

Overdose

Overdose after intraocular administration is unlikely.

In case of overdose, treatment should be symptomatic.

Side effects

Nervous system disorders: headache.

Visual disorders: itching in the eyes, eye irritation, eye pain, conjunctival/ocular hyperemia, eyelash changes (increased length, thickness and number of eyelashes), dry eye syndrome, foreign body sensation in the eye.

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: asthma exacerbation, shortness of breath.

Storage conditions

Store in the original package to protect from light at a temperature of 2 to 8 °C.

Do not freeze.
