General properties
The mechanism of action of the ingredients, confirmed by international scientific literature:
Zinc gluconate is the zinc salt of gluconic acid. It is an ionic compound consisting of two anions for each zinc cation. It plays an important role in cell metabolism and cell membrane stabilization. It participates in DNA synthesis, in the regulation of the biosynthesis of nucleic acids, proteins and carbohydrates, and affects fat metabolism.
The presence of the trace element Zinc in the human body is a necessary condition for the normal functioning of the immune system. It is a structural component and activator of enzymes, participates in the biosynthesis of metalloenzymes and in the formation of cellular structures; is necessary for brain function, has a positive effect on memory. Promotes the absorption of vitamin A, necessary for visual acuity, faster adaptation of the eyes to darkness and prevention of myopia (myopia). Once in the human body, zinc is concentrated in the pancreas, liver, pituitary gland, retina, skin, nails, hair and bones.
Taurine is 12-aminoethanesulfonic acid, which is synthesized in the human body from the sulfur-containing amino acid cysteine. It has a wide range of biological properties: it is a stabilizer of cell membranes, an antioxidant, normalizes metabolic processes at the cellular level, normalizes the processes of cellular osmoregulation in conditions of hypo- or hypertonic environment, contributes to the preservation of the electrolyte composition of the cytoplasm (due to the accumulation of potassium and calcium ions), increases the oxygenation of aqueous humor and the utilization of oxygen by eye tissues. In the brain, it performs the function of a neurotransmitter that inhibits synaptic transmission, has anticonvulsant activity. It contributes to the normalization of eye tissue metabolism in diseases of a dystrophic nature.
Dry extract of marigolds/marigolds (Tagetes erecta) – contains lutein and zeaxanthin – biologically active fat-soluble pigments (carotenoids) that have antioxidant properties, protect and support healthy cells.
It has been scientifically proven that among about 600 carotenoids, these are the only carotenoids that are found in the blood and all tissues of the body, including the central area of the retina, called the "yellow spot", including in the choroid and ciliary body. The highest concentration (up to 70% of the absorbed dose) is in the macula, with lutein and zeaxanthin partially coming from food sources, and mesoxanthin can be directly synthesized in the retina from lutein. Lutein is more abundant at the edges of the retina, zeaxanthin in the center.
Lutein and zeaxanthin:
are antioxidants that can neutralize free radicals (unstable molecules) that oxidize and damage the retina. Protect the lens of the eye from oxidative stress, i.e. help maintain visual acuity (scientifically proven that oxidation is one of the main causes of cataracts). Prevent the development of cataracts, and are an excellent prevention of age-related macular degeneration.
filter harmful high-energy blue long-wave light (ultraviolet), thereby protecting the eyes and supporting healthy cells;
Carotenoids not only protect the eyes from damage, but also promote repair processes by supporting collagen synthesis.
Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is a non-enzymatic endogenous antioxidant (cofactor) that plays a key role in the vital activity of the cell and the human body, in general as a component of the electron transport chain in mitochondria with increased ATP synthesis, which improves the energy supply of cells. Ubiquinone has strong antioxidant activity and the ability to influence redox reactions in cells. Due to the neutralization of free radicals, it provides protection of the cell membrane and DNA from free radical damage, is able to restore the activity of vitamin E in the fight against free radicals. It optimizes oxidative phosphorylation processes, participates in the regulation of lipid metabolism, optimizes metabolic processes, and is able to influence the activity of a large number of enzymes with various functions. It is an indispensable co-factor for ensuring the normal functioning of dihydroate dehydrogenase and uncoupling proteins UCPs; exhibits the properties of a regulator of genetic expression, due to which it is able to influence the course of inflammatory processes, participates in the epigenetic regulation of the activity of various genes using micro RNA, histone modification and DNA methylation. It has a positive effect on the functioning of the immune system, slows down aging processes at the cellular level and can be recommended for the prevention and treatment of metabolic disorders in various pathological conditions.
Copper gluconate – promotes the activation of superoxide dismutase (SOD) – an antioxidant protection enzyme and lysyl oxidase, which participates in the synthesis of collagen and elastin; acts as a conductor of Copper, helps its absorption by cells, and participates in cell regeneration.
Copper is a component of many proteins in the human body, including enzymes that are necessary for the formation of the myelin sheath of nerve fibers and lipid metabolism; plays an important role in the formation of collagen, which is the main structural protein of connective tissue and for the synthesis of prostaglandins with anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant effects; inactivates enzymes to neutralize free radicals. Gluconate acts as a copper conductor, helps its absorption by cells, and participates in cell regeneration.
Recommendations for use
TauRetina can be included in the diet as an additional source of essential amino acids, macro- and microelements, enzymes and biologically active substances of plant origin in order to optimize the functioning of normal metabolic processes in the body, including for the regulation of visual functions.
TauRetina helps reduce the risk of progression of age-related maculopathy; improves the rheological properties of blood and retinal microcirculation; reduces the permeability of the vascular wall (anti-edema effect); increases the regeneration of retinal rhodopsin; improves vision during twilight; increases visual acuity.
During consumption, it is recommended to use a complete and balanced diet with a higher proportion of plant-based products, sufficient protein and carbohydrates, and limited fat (at the expense of animal fats). This dietary supplement should not be used as a substitute for a complete diet.
