Pharmacological properties

TAVIPEK has secretolytic, expectorant, mucolytic, epitheliizing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, immunostimulating action. The secretolytic effect of the drug is manifested in increasing mucociliary clearance. The mucolytic and expectorant effect is manifested by thinning mucus and increasing the functional activity of the ciliated epithelium, which contributes to the quick and easy release of mucus from the respiratory tract. The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity of TAVIPEK is due to the bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties of lavender essential oil and is manifested in the suppression of the general growth of bacteria. Lavender essential oil in in vitro studies inhibits the general growth of bacteria and fungi, including mycobacterium tuberculosis, without affecting the normal intestinal microflora. TAVIPEK deactivates staphylococcal toxin - alpha-hemolysin and streptococcal toxin - streptolysin. TAVIPEK stimulates nonspecific immunity by activating cellular immunity and increasing the phagocytic activity of leukocytes.

Indication

Acute bronchitis; chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, smoker's cough, sinusitis.

Application

Adults and children over 12 years old - 1-2 capsules 3 times a day, without chewing.

The course of treatment depends on the nature and severity of the disease and is determined individually.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, peptic ulcer, hyperacid gastritis, acute hepatitis, pancreatitis, nephritis.

Side effects

Rarely, belching, short-term nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dysgeusia may occur. The possibility of allergic reactions, including skin rashes, cannot be ruled out. When exhaling, the smell of lavender oil may be present, which does not cause unpleasant sensations.

There are no experimental studies on the use of the drug in children under 12 years of age.
