Properties

The original formula of Theagel:

• helps keep the gel on the eyelids;
• contains the ingredient poloxamer, which, by forming an emulsion, ensures the dissolution and gentle removal of mucus and dirt from the eyelids and eyelash roots;
• preserves the natural hydration of the eyelids;
• refreshes, softens and soothes the skin of the eyelids;
• leaves no residue, is not greasy or sticky.

Recommendations for use

Teagel is a hypoallergenic, sterile gel for daily hygiene of eyelids and eyelashes. Eyelid hygiene is recommended by ophthalmologists and optometrists in the following cases:

• blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids): anterior marginal and posterior marginal;
• dry eye syndrome associated with meibomian gland dysfunction (impaired function of the glands located inside the eyelids);
• eye and eyelid lesions associated with acne and rosacea (a facial skin condition that causes redness);
• Eye and eyelid lesions associated with seborrheic dermatitis (facial skin conditions that cause redness and dandruff).

Eyelid hygiene is also recommended before surgery if complete and thorough cleaning of the eyelash roots is required.

Theagel may be recommended for people who wear contact lenses.

Teagel is a sterile gel designed for gentle mechanical cleansing of irritated or damaged eyelids or sensitive or allergic eyelid skin.

Method of application

Use Theagel twice a day, morning and evening, or as many times as needed to cleanse the eyelids.

Before first use, do the following: lightly press the front of the tube (on the Thea logo) for 3 seconds to push the gel towards the dispenser.

Then place the tube with the dispenser facing down and fill the dispenser by pressing it three times.

1. Press the dispenser to release a small amount of Theagel onto the tissue (without pressing on the tube). Remove any gel remaining on the neck of the tube with a tissue.
2. Close one eye and, using a mirror, gently apply the gel to the closed eyelid and the roots of the eyelashes.
3. Gently wipe your eyelids and eyelash roots in circular motions until all dirt is removed.
4. Remove any remaining Theagel from your eyelids with a clean tissue (swab).
5. Repeat the previous 4 steps for the second eye.

Does not require rinsing after use.

Application features

Use on eyelids and eyelashes. Do not apply directly to eyes. Do not open tube (risk of bacterial contamination of gel).
