Properties
Thioct MR® dietary supplement contains alpha-lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine, and coenzyme Q10. This is a carefully selected combination of ingredients to maintain the normal functioning of organs, tissues, and cells, as well as as a source of energy to perform work and ensure the body's vital functions.
Scientifically proven properties of the components of the dietary supplement.
According to publicly available literature sources, the components that make up Thioct MR® have the following properties:
Thioctic acid (alpha-lipoic acid) is a substance similar to vitamins, which, as a coenzyme, participates in the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvic, α-ketoglutaric and other α-keto acids, and participates in the formation of acetyl coenzyme A.
Lipoic acid is widely distributed in nature, but mainly in bound form. Food sources include meat and offal, dairy products, and baker's yeast.
L-carnitine (β-hydroxy-γ-N-trimethylaminobutyric acid) is a derivative of the amino acid lysine. Carnitine is essential for the transport of fatty acids into mitochondria, where energy is released, and for normal muscle function and maintenance of optimal physiological status. With a lack of carnitine, unused fatty acids accumulate in the cytoplasm and an energy deficit occurs, which is most noticeable in the heart and skeletal muscles. Carnitine promotes the restoration of cell membranes and counteracts the negative effects of free radicals. Carnitine supplements improve sensitivity and motor function in peripheral neuropathy, and also reduce neuropathic pain.
Carnitine is synthesized in the human body from the amino acids lysine and methionine, in the presence of vitamins C, B3, B6, B12, PP and iron in the liver and kidneys. With a lack of at least one of these substances, the synthesis of carnitine in the body is significantly reduced. The main sources of carnitine in the human body are meat and meat products.
Coenzyme Q10, coenzyme Q10 (also known as ubiquinone, coenzyme Q, CoQ10, CoQ, Q10, or Q) is a benzoquinone with 10 isoprene chemical groups.
Ubiquinone is also considered a vitamin-like compound. This compound is found in most plant and animal cells. It is also synthesized in the human body from the amino acid tyrosine, which is why it is not considered a vitamin, although its role in the body's metabolic processes is similar to vitamins. About 3-5 milligrams (mg) of this substance enters the human body daily with food, mainly with meat and fish.
Recommendations for use
Thioct MR® can be recommended as a dietary supplement to the diet, as an additional source of alpha-lipoic acid, L-carnitine and coenzyme Q10. The components that make up Thioct MR® contribute to maintaining normal energy metabolism, glucose and lipid metabolism (play an important role in the utilization of carbohydrates and the implementation of normal energy metabolism, which improves the "energy status" of cells); have cytoprotective properties; support normal detoxification function of the liver
