Properties
Thireomin is a specially developed complex of amino acids, vitamins and minerals for normalizing the function of the thyroid gland and adrenal glands. It helps reduce appetite and excess weight by normalizing carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory properties.
L-Tyrosine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is formed in the body from the essential amino acid phenylalanine. Tyrosine, together with iodine, participates in the formation of thyroid hormones, normalizes its function, improves the functions of the adrenal glands and pituitary gland. Tyrosine helps normalize metabolic processes, optimizes the work of the endocrine glands, activates the processes of burning fat deposits, and suppresses appetite. Tyrosine is a precursor to the neurotransmitters noradrenaline and dopamine, which regulate mood. Tyrosine deficiency causes a deficiency of noradrenaline, which, in turn, can lead to depression. Additional intake of tyrosine, in this case, helps to increase attention, improve mood, and reduce stress levels.
L-selenomethionine is a bioavailable form of selenium, due to the mineral's binding to the amino acid methionine. Selenomethionine protects body tissues from harmful free radicals that result from thyroid hormone formation reactions (performs an antioxidant function). In human blood plasma, selenium binds to glutathione peroxidase and a selenium-transporting protein known as selenoprotein P in the form of the amino acid selenocysteine. Selenium-containing glutathione peroxidase is a component of the antioxidant defense system of cells. Glutathione peroxidase accelerates the formation of hydroperoxides and helps protect cells from oxidative damage, including thyroid cells during the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Selenoprotein P is the main fraction of selenium in blood plasma, is part of deiodinases, the main function of which is to accelerate the conversion of thyroxine (T4) to triiodothyronine (T3), the active thyroid hormone.
Zinc picolinate is zinc bound to organic picolinic acid, which is naturally produced in the body from the amino acid L-tryptophan. Thanks to chelation, it has maximum bioavailability and maintains optimal levels of the trace element in the body. Zinc is present in every cell of the human body, has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory properties. Zinc is necessary for the proper synthesis and metabolism of thyroid hormones and the proper functioning of deiodinases. The conversion of thyroxine (T4) to metabolically active triiodothyronine (T3) is carried out by deiodinases, they participate in the process of deiodination of the inner and outer rings of T4, ensure the formation of the main amount of T3 in the plasma, converting T4 to the active hormone T3, and also deactivate them later. Zinc deficiency inhibits the synthesis of thyroid hormones, and also disrupts the binding of T3 to nuclear receptors, which leads to hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can contribute to acquired zinc deficiency, which leads to increased production of antibodies to thyroid tissue, and its elimination reduces the processes of destruction of thyroid cells.
Vitamin E (d-α-tocopheryl acetate) has antioxidant and radioprotective properties, inhibits lipid peroxidation and prevents damage to cellular structures by free radicals. The membrane-stabilizing effect of the vitamin is manifested in its ability to protect the SH-groups of membrane proteins from oxidation. Vitamin E takes part in the processes of tissue respiration, heme and protein biosynthesis, fat and carbohydrate metabolism, affects the tone and permeability of blood vessels, and stimulates the development of new capillaries. The immunomodulatory effect of vitamin E is due to the stimulation of T-cell and humoral immunity. Due to its powerful antioxidant action, vitamin E contributes to the normalization of lipid metabolism, namely, it interrupts free radical chain reactions in the process of peroxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, prevents atherogenic changes in low-density lipoproteins (LDL). Biologically active substances that make up Thyreomin contribute to the normalization of the functional state of the thyroid gland in individuals with impaired thyroid function, in particular with autoimmune thyroiditis, hypothyroidism (including postoperative), contribute to the normalization of metabolism, a decrease in the level of cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in the blood; contribute to the elimination of vitamin and microelement deficiencies, the normalization of neuroendocrine interaction; have antioxidant, general strengthening, tonic and immunomodulatory properties.
Recommendations for use
Thyromin can be recommended as an additional source of biologically active substances to normalize the functional state of the thyroid gland in people with impaired thyroid function; helps normalize metabolism, reduce cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in the blood; helps eliminate vitamin and microelement deficiencies, normalize neuroendocrine interaction; has antioxidant, general strengthening, tonic and immunomodulatory properties.
