Active ingredients

Potentilla alba L. has a pronounced effectiveness in normalizing the structure and function of the thyroid gland. The biologically active compound albumin, which is contained in the underground part of the plant, has thyrotropic and gonadotropic activity, affects the production of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in the anterior pituitary gland, which, by the feedback mechanism, affects the synthesis of thyroid hormones. The rhizome of Potentilla alba contains elemental iodine and the anion of iodic acid, is a natural concentrate of micro- and macroelements (mn, cu, zn, se, co, fe, si, etc.), biologically active components such as flavonoids, phenolcarboxylic acids and saponins, which normalize metabolic processes in the body, regulate hormonal balance and are necessary for the healthy functioning of the thyroid gland. Thanks to bioflavonoids, quercetin, which has a pronounced antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing activity, provides the effect of stabilizing thyrocyte membranes, regulates the permeability of thyroid cells, protects them from the harmful effects of autoantibodies and free radicals, restores receptor and hormonal functions. The main biologically active substances of white licorice have a strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cytostatic, immunomodulatory effect, improve blood microcirculation in tissues. Selenium is a trace element that is part of enzymes that play an important role in the functioning of the thyroid gland, reproductive, immune systems. Selenium is part of selenomuscular deiodinases, which convert the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4) into the active form triiodothyronine (T3). Selenium participates in the antioxidant defense of the body, activation of thyroid hormones, inhibits the process of apoptosis, models immunity, has a protective effect on cytoplasmic membranes, prevents the disruption of chromosomal material. Selenium deficiency is accompanied by the risk of developing complex autoimmune processes, such as autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) and diffuse toxic goiter (DTG). Selenium effectively reduces the level of antibodies to thyroperoxidase in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis and improves the quality of life of patients with endocrine ophthalmopathy. The trace element is part of protein compounds - selenoproteins, which ensure adequate functioning of the thyroid gland. Zinc is part of protein compounds that have various molecular mechanisms of action on the thyroid gland, including being a component of the nuclear receptor for triiodothyronine hormone (part of the receptor for T3), which explains the need for this trace element for the implementation of the biological effect of thyroid hormones. The superoxide dismutase enzyme, which includes zinc, provides antioxidant protection of the thyroid gland.

Recommendations for use

Adults should take 1 capsule daily with meals. It is not recommended to exceed the recommended daily dose. The course of treatment is up to 3 months, the possibility of a repeated course is agreed with the doctor.

Contraindication
