Composition

1 capsule contains: dry kelp extract (Laminaria japonica Extract 1% iodine) – 15.0 mg (mg), equivalent to 150.0 mcg (μg) of iodine, selenomethionine – 250.0 mcg (μg), equivalent to 100.0 mcg (μg) of selenium; excipients: filler: microcrystalline cellulose, anti-caking agent: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, calcium stearate.

Properties

"TIROGARD" ® is a dietary supplement whose properties are due to the microelements that make up its composition.

Laminaria japonica extract is a natural source of iodine of plant origin (from seaweed) that has high bioavailability compared to its inorganic forms.

Iodine is a trace element that is important for the functioning of all human organs and systems, and most of all, the thyroid gland. To produce hormones, the thyroid gland needs iodine. Its amount affects the level of hormones that the gland produces and secretes. Thyroid hormones affect the functioning of the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and musculoskeletal systems, intellectual development, mental activity and even fertility, and control heat production. Iodine also helps maintain normal skin.

Among the consequences of iodine deficiency in the body: constant fatigue, weakness; enlargement of the thyroid gland; growth retardation and cognitive abilities in children; decreased mental activity in adults; metabolic disorders; threat of miscarriage; thyroid cancer; memory and hearing impairment; increased cholesterol levels; dry skin, loss of its elasticity; intestinal dysfunction; sudden changes in body weight; hair loss.

Method of administration and doses

Children from 14 years of age and adults take 1 capsule per day during meals, washed down with water. The daily amount and duration of consumption can be adjusted on the recommendation of a doctor individually in each individual case.

Pregnant and lactating women should consume only as prescribed and under the supervision of a doctor.
