Composition
active ingredients: 1 tablet contains Atropinum sulfuricum D5 12.5 mg; Hepar sulfuris D3 10 mg; Kalium bichromicum D4 50 mg; Silicea D2 5 mg; Mercurius bijodatus D8 25 mg;
excipients: lactose monohydrate, sucrose, magnesium stearate.
Dosage form
Pills.
Main physicochemical properties: white or almost white, sometimes with individual dark spots, bifacial tablets with a beveled edge, odorless or with a slight odor of sulfur.
Pharmacotherapeutic group
A complex homeopathic preparation.
Pharmacological properties
A combination of five homeopathic monocomponents stimulates the body's own defense mechanisms in viral and bacterial infections of the throat at various stages of inflammation.
Indication
Acute tonsillitis (catarrhal and lacunar angina), chronic or recurrent acute tonsillitis, enlargement (hyperplasia) of the tonsils, as well as symptomatic treatment after surgical removal of the tonsils in children and adults.
Contraindication
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to chromium or any other component of the drug. In case of thyroid diseases (hyperthyroidism), take the drug only as prescribed by a doctor.
The drug is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Unknown.
If it is necessary to use any other medicines at the same time, you should consult a doctor.
Note: Bad habits, such as the use of stimulants, alcohol, and smoking, can negatively affect the effects of homeopathic medicines.
Application features
When using homeopathic medicines, temporary initial deterioration is possible. In this case, the patient should stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.
The drug contains sucrose, which should be taken into account by patients with diabetes.
The drug contains lactose, therefore patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not use the drug.
If the acute condition does not improve or worsens within the first 2 days of treatment, if additional complaints appear, such as a body temperature above 39 °C, you should consult a doctor.
Since the medicinal product contains sucrose, it should not be used in patients with rare hereditary diseases such as fructose intolerance or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Tonsilotren during pregnancy or breastfeeding is prescribed by a doctor only after a careful assessment of the benefit to the mother/risk to the fetus (child).
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
in acute conditions: take 1 tablet every hour, maximum 12 tablets per day until improvement;
for further treatment or chronic conditions: 1–2 tablets 3 times a day until complete recovery.
For children aged 6 to 12 years:
for acute conditions: take 1 tablet every 2 hours, maximum 6 tablets per day until improvement;
for further treatment or chronic conditions: 1 tablet 3 times a day until complete recovery.
For children aged 2 to 6 years:
for acute conditions and with further treatment or for chronic conditions: take 1 tablet 3 times a day.
Adults and children with enlarged tonsils: take 1 tablet 3 times a day.
If no improvement is observed after 8 days of treatment, you should consult a doctor.
The tablets should be taken 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after meals, slowly dissolving them in the mouth.
The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.
Children
The drug is prescribed to children aged 2 years and older.
Overdose
Not installed.
Side effects. After use, increased salivation is possible. In this case, the dose should be reduced or the drug should be discontinued. If allergic skin reactions occur, such as skin redness, skin rash, the drug should be discontinued. In rare cases, epigastric pain and nausea may occur.
If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the drug and be sure to consult a doctor.
Expiration date
5 years.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºC in a dry place, out of the reach of children.
