Troxevenol gel tube 40 g

Indications for use

• Symptomatic treatment of venous insufficiency, varicose veins, superficial thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, post-phlebitis condition;
• in the complex therapy of hemorrhoids; soft tissue rheumatism - tendovaginitis, bursitis, fibrositis, periarthritis; edema after surgical interventions;
• bruises, dislocations, sprains.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Method of application

Externally, a 4-5 cm long column of gel is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas and lightly rubbed in 3-4 times a day. The daily dose should not exceed 20 cm of gel. The duration of treatment is no more than 10 days.

Overdose

Cases of overdose with topical application of the drug have not been noted, however, with long-term treatment (more than 10 days), monitoring is necessary to identify possible systemic effects - hepatotoxicity, severe headache, hemorrhages, as well as laboratory blood tests (monitoring of leukocyte formula and platelet count).

In case of accidental ingestion of the drug, a burning sensation in the mouth, salivation, nausea, vomiting are possible. In this case, rinsing the mouth and stomach is indicated, and if necessary, symptomatic treatment. In case of contact with the eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds, local irritation is observed - lacrimation, hyperemia, burning, pain. The gel is washed off with a large amount of distilled water or isotonic sodium chloride solution until the complete disappearance or significant reduction in the severity of the above symptoms.

Storage conditions and shelf life

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, protected from light; do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.

Side effects

In rare cases, irritation, redness and itching of the skin at the site of application of the gel may occur, which quickly disappear after discontinuation of the drug. If any adverse reactions occur, consult a doctor regarding further use of the drug.
