General characteristics
Tyfer is an easily digestible source of iron, developed based on the patented Lipofer® formula.
The iron in the dietary supplement Tyfer is in the form of iron (III) pyrophosphate, which is placed inside liposomes and enclosed in a special capsule. This technology allows liposomal iron to pass through the stomach in an unchanged state (resistant to the action of gastric enzymes and acids) and enter directly into the intestine, where it is further transformed, broken down and absorbed.
Lipofer®, as a transportation method, provides targeted delivery of iron and helps avoid side effects common when taking iron salts and complexes: stomach upset, metallic taste, discoloration of the oral mucosa and tooth enamel.
Thus, Tyfer, as a source of iron that is well absorbed and easily digested, provides high effectiveness in cases of iron deficiency.
Iron is a vital trace element that provides key functions of the human body.
Iron contributes to the formation of red blood cells and ensures the ability of hemoglobin to transport oxygen to all organs of the human body, i.e. provides respiration. Iron is needed by myoglobin - a protein that supplies oxygen to muscles, especially those that perform rhythmic contractions for a long time (limb muscles, masticatory muscles, myocardium). Its provision with iron is of great importance for athletes, as it allows muscles to work in optimal conditions during physical exertion or competitions.
The synthesis of enzymes that play an important role in the production of new cells, amino acids, hormones and neurotransmitters also depends on iron, this aspect becomes crucial in the process of recovery from illness or after physical overwork. In addition, iron is part of cytochromes, which participate in all detoxification processes - they neutralize harmful substances that are formed as a result of vital activity.
Iron is necessary for healthy connective tissue; physical growth, proper development of the nervous system, cell function, and the synthesis of certain hormones.
The need for iron increases during pregnancy, which is due to additional costs for the formation of the fetoplacental complex and redistribution in favor of the fetus. With insufficient iron levels during pregnancy, there is a risk of placental insufficiency, the threat of miscarriage, early gestosis (toxicosis) and preeclampsia, and weakness of labor activity.
Therefore, it is extremely necessary to maintain the physiological balance of iron in the body. Usually, its supply is replenished with food. But with increased need or loss of this trace element (pregnancy, childbirth, lactation, puberty, active growth, heavy physical exertion, donation, etc.), in conditions associated with impaired absorption (chronic inflammatory processes, disorders in the gastrointestinal tract), iron deficiency occurs. This can manifest itself as weakness, irritability; headaches, dizziness; shortness of breath and increased heartbeat during physical exertion; decreased mental abilities and memory impairment; pallor, dryness of the skin and mucous membranes, decreased immunity, which contributes to a high incidence of infectious diseases, etc.
