Active ingredients

Each capsule of UroPak-36 contains 144 mg of cranberry extract, which corresponds to 36 mg of proanthocyanidins A. Proanthocyanidins (PACs) are natural substances that cause damage to the bacterial membrane, prevent the reproduction and adhesion (sticking) of bacteria to the urinary epithelium. Proanthocyanidin A, which is part of UroPak-36, inhibits the growth of pathogenic microorganisms on the surface of the urinary tract epithelium. The ability of cranberry extract to block the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms to the uroepithelium (the mucous membrane of the urinary tract) applies not only to E. coli, which causes about 90% of urinary tract infections, but also to other widespread pathogens of urinary tract infections. This effect contributes to the rapid destruction of pathogens, preventing colonization of the urinary tract by microorganisms.

UroPak-36 acidifies urine, thereby creating an environment unfavorable for the growth and reproduction of pathogenic bacteria. Increasing the acidity of urine also prevents the combination of calcium and phosphate ions involved in the formation of insoluble stones, thereby preventing the development of urolithiasis.
