Composition
active ingredient: tincture of valerian roots (Valerianae radix) (1:5) (extractant - ethanol 70%);
1 bottle contains tincture of valerian roots (Valerianae radix) (1:5) (extractant - ethanol 70%) - 25 ml;
excipients: none, except for the extractant.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
Biologically active substances contained in valerian rhizomes with roots (essential oil, valeric acid, borneol, alkaloids, tannins, sugars) reduce the process of excitation in the central nervous system, enhance the effects of other sedatives, hypnotics, analgesics and antispasmodics. The drug has a calming and antispasmodic effect.

Indication
Functional disorders of the central nervous system (increased emotional excitability, irritability, sleep disorders), cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonias).
Contraindication
Depression and other disorders accompanied by inhibition of the central nervous system. Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances that are part of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The drug has the ability to potentiate the effects of alcohol, cardiac, sedative, hypnotic, analgesic, antispasmodic, hypotensive and anxiolytic drugs.
Application features
It is necessary to follow the recommendations for the use of the drug - otherwise it may harm your health. The recommended doses of the drug should not be exceeded.
When using the drug, you should refrain from drinking alcohol.
Valerian-Vishfa contains ethanol. Long-term use of the drug is not recommended.
Valerian may have a moderate depressive effect, so concomitant use of the drug with synthetic sedatives is not recommended due to potentiation of the effect.
In case of severe atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, the drug can be used only under the supervision of a physician.
During storage, sediment may form. The product should be shaken before use.
Valerian-Vishfa is a traditional medicine for use according to indications, confirmed by long-term use.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
The medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the 70% ethanol content.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
During the period of treatment with the drug, you should refrain from driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms due to the 70% ethanol content and the possibility of developing side effects from the central nervous system.
Method of administration and doses
Take orally after meals.
Adults are recommended to take 20-30 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved, and children over 12 years old are recommended to take 1 drop per 1 year of life 3-4 times a day.
The patient should consult a doctor if the symptoms of the disease do not disappear while using the medicine or if any adverse reactions are observed.
Children
The medicine contains 70% ethanol, therefore it is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Overdose
If the recommended doses of the drug are significantly exceeded, the development of pronounced adverse reactions is possible: headache, dizziness, drowsiness or mental agitation, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased hearing and vision, palpitations, mental agitation.
In case of overdose, the drug should be discontinued. Treatment is symptomatic (gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal).
Adverse reactions
The drug is usually well tolerated, however, some patients may experience suppression of emotional reactions, drowsiness, decreased performance, depression, nausea, spastic abdominal pain, and weakness.
Allergic reactions are possible (redness, rash, itching and swelling of the skin).
