The drug Vamelan reduces the excitability of the central and autonomic nervous system, has pronounced sedative, hypnotic effects, has an antispasmodic and choleretic effect, enhances the secretory activity of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, and potentiates the effect of other hypnotic and sedative drugs.
Indication
to maintain the normal functional state of the nervous system during increased nervous excitability (tension caused by stress; mental fatigue; neurotic spasms of the gastrointestinal tract, etc.); in case of disorders of the process of falling asleep and sleep quality; in order to increase the body's own resistance.Composition
Active ingredients:
1 soft capsule contains: dry valerian (root) hydro-ethanolic extract (Valeriana officinalis L., radix, extractum hydroalcoholic siccum) (3-5:1) (extractant – ethanol 60% (v/v)) – 125.0 mg; dry lemon balm leaf extract (Melissa officinalis L., folium, extractum siccum) (4-6:1) (extractant – ethanol 50% (v/v)) – 25.0 mg; dry peppermint leaf extract (Mentha piperita L., folium, extractum siccum) (3-6:1) (extractant – ethanol 40% (v/v)) – 25.0 mg.
Excipients: soy lecithin, hydrogenated coconut oil, refined palm oil, yellow beeswax, refined soybean oil, maltodextrin, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, peppermint essence powder.
Capsule shell: gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide (E 171), black iron oxide (E 172), copper complex of chlorophyllins (E 141), quinoline yellow (E 104).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to components.
Method of application
The medicine is intended for oral use. The capsules should be swallowed whole with water, regardless of meals.
Adults and children aged 12 and over.
For mental stress, excitement, or irritability, the recommended dose of the drug is 2 capsules 2 times a day.
For insomnia, the recommended dose of the drug is 2 capsules 1 hour before bedtime.
The drug is characterized by a gradual onset of action. To achieve the optimal treatment effect, it is recommended to use it for at least 14 days.
The duration of treatment is not limited. Even with prolonged use, addiction is not observed. There is no withdrawal syndrome after discontinuation of treatment.
If no improvement is observed 14 days after the start of treatment, you should consult a doctor.

Overdose
A single dose of about 20 g of valerian root can cause such minor symptoms as fatigue, abdominal cramps, chest tightness, dizziness, hand tremors, and dilated pupils. These symptoms disappear within 24 hours. Overdose of valerian-containing products may also cause headache, drowsiness, lethargy, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased hearing and vision, bradycardia/tachycardia, decreased concentration, and increased sedative effect.
There are no reports of overdoses of lemon balm and peppermint leaves.
Side effects
The following gastrointestinal adverse reactions have been reported: nausea, abdominal cramps, and increased heartburn.
Very rarely, drowsiness, asthenic manifestations (weakness, decreased mood and performance, suppression of emotional reactions), dizziness, and depression were observed.
If other adverse reactions occur (e.g. hypersensitivity reactions including rash, itching, hives, redness and swelling of the skin), you should consult a doctor.
Interaction

Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C out of the reach of children.
