Vicryl W9136 purple No. 2/0 length 75 cm barbed needle 30 mm circumference 1/2

Vicryl is a synthetic, absorbable, polyfilament suture material with good manipulation properties that provides knot fixation.
The process of resorption is carried out by hydrolysis. Due to the hydrolysis reaction, the tensile strength of Vicryl is reduced during implantation in the wound. Vicryl usually dissolves between 56 and 70 days. Surgical needles are mainly made of a special alloy ETHALLOY, which provides 40% greater resistance to deformation than conventional surgical steel. Many needles have a longitudinal groove in the needle holders, thanks to which the needle is also fixed in the needle clamp.
