Composition
active ingredient: polyvinyl butyl ether.
1 g of Vinilin® (Shostakovsky Balm) contains: 1 g of polyvinyl butyl ether.
Dosage form
The liquid is cutaneous.
Main physical and chemical properties: thick, viscous liquid from light yellow to brownish yellow with a specific odor. Does not thicken or dry out in air. Easily soluble in propanol and toluene, practically insoluble in water and ethyl alcohol 96%. Miscible in all proportions with ethyl ether, chloroform, oils and liquid paraffin.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
Vinilin® (Shostakovsky Balm) has an antimicrobial effect, promotes wound cleansing, tissue regeneration and epithelialization.
Pharmacokinetics.
The antiseptic effect is due to the ability of the drug to dehydrate microbial cells, causing protein coagulation and death of microbial cells. As a result of recovery, the foci of necrosis are replaced by specific and/or connective (has the highest regeneration potential) tissue.
Indication
For boils, carbuncles, trophic ulcers, purulent wounds, mastitis, soft tissue injuries, burns, frostbite, dermatitis and inflammatory skin diseases.
Contraindication
Individual hypersensitivity of the body to the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

It can be used as a 20% oil solution, including in combination with other drugs compatible with Vinilin® (ointments on vaseline and other bases, pastes and creams).
