Description

Warts are growths on the skin caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).

There are many types of warts, but the most common are the so-called common warts. Warts look like rounded growths that have a root inside, formed from cells of the papillary layer of the skin and blood vessels, and are covered with an overgrowth of epithelial tissue. Common warts can be distinguished by their characteristic hard surface, which has the appearance of a "cauliflower". They usually appear on the hands, elbows or knees.

Plantar warts are located on the soles of the feet and toes. They look similar to regular warts, but are flatter, often covered in rough skin, and can be painful to walk on. When using Wartner Cryo to remove plantar warts, two additional steps are recommended – before and after treatment.

Common and plantar warts occur in 7-10% of the population, more often in children and adolescents. Infection with papillomavirus occurs through direct contact, and warts appear more often when the body's immune system is weakened. Infection can occur from person to person or from one part of the body to another through direct contact with infected skin. In 50% of cases, warts disappear on their own after about 2 years, without any treatment. However, given the discomfort that warts can cause, most people try to get rid of them as soon as possible.

There are two traditional ways to treat warts: the first is acid or alkali-based preparations that are applied directly to the wart; and the second is surgical removal, which is performed by a doctor and can be done using a laser or cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen). Wartner Cryo allows you to effectively and quickly cure warts at home by freezing them. However, if you need to remove a wart that is larger than 7.5 mm, consult a doctor.

How does Wartner Cryo work?

Wartner Cryo allows you to get rid of common and plantar warts using cryotherapy, a method commonly used by doctors:

1. When using Wartner Cryo, rapid freezing occurs. Therefore, during application, the skin around the wart may turn white and/or you may feel a slight pain and burning sensation. The skin color returns immediately after contact with the applicator is stopped, and the discomfort completely disappears within a few hours.

2. After freezing, redness and swelling may appear in the area of application. As a result of freezing, a blister forms under the wart after a few days, which is difficult to notice with the naked eye. After 10-14 days, the wart completely disappears or falls off, and in about a month, healthy skin appears in its place.

The Wartner Cryo set includes:

  • Aerosol can containing a mixture of dimethyl ether and propane, which is not harmful to the environment. CE 0344
  • 1 reusable applicator holder.
  • 12 disposable sponge applicators.
  • 1 CE nail file.
  • This leaflet contains detailed information about warts, Wartner Cryo, how it works and instructions for use.

Common and plantar warts usually disappear within 10-14 days of application. Repeated treatment sessions may be required to completely remove old and large warts. If the wart or part of it has not disappeared after 14 days of application, you can safely have a second treatment session. Use a new sponge applicator for each session. If the wart has not disappeared after 3 sessions, consult your doctor.

Method of application

STEP 1. Hold the blue part of the applicator between your thumb and forefinger and squeeze until a small hole appears. Insert the holder rod into the hole so that the rod is not visible.

STEP 2. Take the aerosol can, holding it vertically and as far away as possible from yourself, fire, heating sources, direct sunlight and electrical appliances. Insert the holder with a disposable sponge applicator into the hole on the top of the can. Holding the can by the bottom with one hand, press the holder with the other hand until it hisses. Hold it in this position for 3 seconds (count 21, 22, 23); during this time you will hear a sound resembling a whistle. After that, remove the holder with the applicator from the can opening. If the procedure is carried out correctly, the applicator will be saturated with cold liquid and covered with condensate, which is completely safe.

STEP 3. After saturating the applicator, wait 20 seconds to reach the optimal temperature for treatment.

STEP 4. Lightly press the applicator against the wart. Application time is:

  • For common warts: 20 seconds.
  • For plantar warts: 40 seconds.

Maintain constant contact with the wart throughout the application. Strictly follow the recommended application time. During the freezing process, you may experience mild pain and burning.
After application, wait 2 minutes and carefully remove the applicator from the holder using a tissue and discard it. To avoid reinfection, avoid contact of healthy skin with the applicator and do not use it more than once.

Two additional steps for optimal treatment of plantar warts

Soak your foot in warm water for 5 minutes, then use the file included in the package to gently remove the top layer of the wart. This will ensure a deeper and more even freeze.

STEPS 1 - 4 see above "4 Easy Steps to Remove Common Warts"

STEP 5. You may feel discomfort when walking for some time after application. To avoid discomfort, you can protect the sensitive area with a plaster (plaster not included).

Further care:

  • constantly maintain the cleanliness of the treated area;
  • you can shower and swim;
  • do not pierce the blister that has formed under the wart; if necessary, protect the treated area with a plaster;
  • If the pain and burning persist for more than a few hours, or if any complications occur, consult a doctor.

Side effect

  • When using any of the cryotherapy methods, a temporary white ischemic ring may appear around the application site;
  • When using the product, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions, as excessive freezing can cause damage to the skin (scars, hypo- or hyperpigmentation) or nerve endings;
  • exceeding the recommended application time leads to the risk of necrotic damage to healthy skin around the wart;
  • the formation of a large blister may be accompanied by pain;
  • in some cases, pigment spots or small scars may appear after treatment;
  • low temperature can also cause the minor damage around the wart described above;
  • Using Wartner Cryo exactly as directed minimizes the likelihood of side effects.

Reservation

If you are unsure whether a skin growth is a common wart or a plantar wart, be sure to consult a doctor. Applications should only be performed by adults.

Do not use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 4 years of age.

Do not use in people with diabetes due to reduced skin regeneration ability.

People with circulatory disorders can use Wartner Cryo only after consulting a doctor.

Do not use to remove warts located on thin or sensitive skin, such as the face, neck, armpits, breasts, buttocks, and genitals. Do not use on irritated skin.
skin, or on skin that shows signs of inflammation, including redness, swelling, itching, etc.

Wartner Cryo is for external use only; do not allow it to enter the mouth or respiratory tract.

After applying the product, wash your hands immediately, avoiding the area that was treated.

When applying Wartner Cryo, use only the special applicators included in the package.

One applicator is designed for a single treatment of one wart. If re-freezing is necessary, use a new applicator.

To restore local blood circulation more quickly after freezing, it is recommended to make several movements with the fingers of the limb on which the application was performed.

Do not allow the applicator to come into contact with healthy skin.

Avoid excessive pressure on the wart during application.

The recommended application time is 20 seconds for common warts and 40 seconds for plantar warts. However, if the skin around the wart turns white, the procedure should be stopped immediately.

In case of a cluster of warts, especially on the hands and fingers, treat only one wart in one session. Do not remove each subsequent wart earlier than 2 weeks after the last application.

Several treatment sessions may be required to completely remove old and large warts.

If multiple treatments are needed for a single wart, applications should be performed at 2-week intervals. If the wart has not disappeared after 3 applications, consult a doctor.

The expiration date and batch number are on the packaging and at the bottom of the aerosol can.
