Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

The biologically active substances of the drug stimulate appetite, stimulate the function of the digestive glands, increase the secretion of bile, pancreatic and gastric juices, and have an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

Indication

To increase appetite and improve the secretory activity of the digestive organs in gastritis with reduced secretory function of the stomach; as part of complex therapy for cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Gastric and duodenal ulcers, cholelithiasis; history of pelvic bleeding; anemia; epilepsy.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Contraindicated (the drug increases uterine tone).

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses

Place 2 teaspoons of the herb in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old - 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day, children 10-14 years old - 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day, 5-10 years old - 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Place 3 filter bags in a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, close and let infuse for 15 minutes. Take the infusion warm 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old - 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day, children 10-14 years old - 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day, 5-10 years old - 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Store the prepared water extract at a temperature of 8-15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Between courses, breaks of up to 2 months are required.

Children

The drug should be used in children over 5 years of age.

Overdose

With prolonged use, atonic constipation is possible. Taking high doses, especially long-term, can lead to poisoning - the development of convulsions, hallucinations and cause the so-called wormwood epilepsy. Treatment is symptomatic.

Adverse reactions

Hypersensitivity reactions (including flushing, rash, itching), nausea, vomiting are possible. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue the drug.

Expiration date

2 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС, out of the reach of children.
