Dosage form
Tincture.
Main physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of brownish-green color, with a characteristic odor, with a bitter taste. A mixture of the drug with water (2:1) gives a cloudy solution. The formation of a precipitate during storage is allowed.

Wormwood tincture contains bitterness. The mechanism of action of the drug is due to irritation of sensitive nerve endings - taste receptors of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and tongue, which reflexively causes increased secretion of gastric juice, increased appetite, and improved digestion.

Method of administration and doses
Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 15-20 drops of wormwood tincture 3 times a day 15-30 minutes before meals. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually and depends on the severity of the disease, the nature of concomitant therapy, and the achieved effect.

Should not be used in children under 12 years of age. For children over 12 years of age, the drug should be used as prescribed by a doctor.
Overdose
Use in high doses, especially over a long period of time, can lead to poisoning - the development of seizures, hallucinations, and loss of consciousness.
With prolonged use, atonic constipation is possible.
