Xylazol spray nasal solution 10 ml




Xylazole is an anti-edematous and rhinological drug for topical use.
Indications for use
nasal congestion during acute rhinitis; promoting healing of the skin around the nasal passages and damage to the mucous membrane in the nasal cavity; vasomotor rhinitis; impaired nasal breathing after surgical interventions in the nasal cavity.Warehouse
1 ml of solution contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg and dexpanthenol 50 mg; excipients: sodium hydrogen phosphate, heptahydrate; sodium dihydrogen phosphate, monohydrate; benzalkonium chloride; purified water.Contraindication
hypersensitivity to the active substance and/or to any of the excipients of the drug; dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa; acute coronary diseases, including cardiac asthma; hyperthyroidism; angle-closure glaucoma; transsphenoidal hypophysectomy and surgical interventions with meningeal exposure in history; simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors and within 2 weeks after their discontinuation; children's age up to 6 years.Method of application
Adults and children aged 6 years and over
The nasal spray should be sprayed once into each nostril no more than 3 times daily. The dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical response.
The medicine should not be used for longer than 7 days, unless recommended by a doctor.
Regarding the duration of use in children, you should always consult a doctor.
Application features
The drug should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, and prostatic hyperplasia.
Patients with long QT syndrome who receive xylometazoline may be at increased risk of serious ventricular arrhythmias.
Pregnant women
The drug should not be used during pregnancy, as there are no comprehensive data on the use of xylometazoline for the treatment of pregnant women.
Children
The medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age. Children aged 2 to 6 years should use Xylazol-kids.
Drivers
When used as directed, no effect on the ability to drive or use machines is expected.
Overdose
Overdose, especially in children, may result in significant CNS effects, including convulsions, coma, bradycardia, apnea, and hypertension, which may progress to hypotension.
Symptoms of CNS excitation include anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, and seizures.
Side effects
Nervous system: anxiety, insomnia, fatigue (drowsiness, sedative effect), headache, hallucinations (mainly in children).
From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia, arterial hypertension, arrhythmia.
On the part of the respiratory system, chest organs and mediastinum: after the effect wears off, increased swelling of the mucous membrane, nosebleeds, burning and dryness of the nasal mucosa, sneezing.
Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders: convulsions (especially in children).
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС in a place inaccessible to children.
