Composition
active ingredient: zinc oxide;
1 g of ointment contains zinc oxide – 100 mg;
excipient: white soft paraffin.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Zinc ointment has an astringent, adsorbing, antiseptic effect, and reduces the severity of exudative processes.
When applied topically, it reduces inflammation and skin irritation, softens and dries it.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied externally, zinc ointment is practically not adsorbed into the systemic bloodstream and does not exhibit a resorptive effect.
Indication
Treatment and prevention of diaper dermatitis. Treatment of dermatitis, eczema, diaper rash, skin injuries (minor thermal and sunburns, cuts, scratches).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Purulent-inflammatory diseases of the skin and adjacent tissues.
Special safety precautions
The ointment is for external use only. Do not use for pustular skin diseases.
Apply the ointment only to uninfected areas of skin.
Avoid contact of the ointment with mucous membranes and eyes. If the ointment gets into the eyes, rinse them with plenty of running water and consult a doctor.
If the child's diaper rash does not disappear within 7 days of starting the drug, it is necessary to stop treatment and seek repeated advice from a doctor.

Method of administration and doses
Diaper dermatitis in children
For preventive purposes, apply the ointment to clean and dry skin (under diapers), especially before bedtime, to prevent skin irritation due to prolonged contact with wet diapers.
For therapeutic purposes, apply the ointment to the skin in a thin layer three times a day (if necessary, during each diaper change) at the first signs of hyperemia (redness of the skin), diaper rash, or minor skin irritation.
Dermatitis, eczema, thermal and sunburn, cuts, scratches, diaper rash
Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area. If necessary, apply a gauze bandage.
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the nature and course of the disease.
Children
Use in pediatric practice.
Overdose
Overdose is unlikely with topical application. Accidental ingestion of large doses may cause vomiting, diarrhea, central nervous system stimulation, and convulsions.
Adverse reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions to the drug, including itching, hyperemia, rash, changes at the site of application of the ointment. With prolonged use, skin irritation is possible.
