Zofetron tablets are indicated for:
Nausea and vomiting induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting.Composition
Active ingredient: ondansetron;
1 tablet contains 4 or 8 mg of ondansetron in the form of ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate;
Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, corn starch, magnesium stearate;
Tablet shell: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol, talc, iron oxide yellow (E 172).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and to other selective antagonists of 5HT3 receptors of histamine, serotonin.
Severe liver dysfunction, abdominal surgery.
Method of application
The drug is taken orally.
The choice of dosage regimen is determined by the severity of the emetogenic effect of antitumor therapy and is set individually.

Children
In this dosage form, the drug is not prescribed to children under 4 years of age.
Drivers
Given the possibility of developing adverse reactions from the nervous system, patients are advised to refrain from driving or operating other mechanisms during treatment.
Overdose
Symptoms: visual disturbances, constipation, hypotension, vasovagal disorders with transient AV block.
Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic and supportive therapy. There is no specific antidote.
Side effects
General disorders: Common: local reactions at the injection site.
The following adverse reactions have been reported from post-marketing surveillance.
Interaction
Ondansetron does not accelerate or inhibit the metabolism of other drugs when used simultaneously with it. Special studies have shown that ondansetron does not interact with alcohol, temazepam, furosemide, alfentanil, tramadol, morphine, lignocaine, thiopental or propofol.
The use of ondansetron with apomorphine hydrochloride is contraindicated, as cases of severe hypotension and loss of consciousness have been observed during co-administration.
Storage conditions
Store out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
